12/19/13 - Daniel Woods has made the first ascent of The Nest in Red Rock, Nevada, calling it V15. He described it as a "joint effort" with Jimmy Webb, who quickly followed up with the second ascent.
On the day I sent The Nest, we first stopped at another project in this wash, which we had been walking by and looking at multiple times on our way to The Nest. In a team FA effort, Jimmy, Nalle and I climbed this beautiful new boulder. Doing this other problem, as opposed to just gunning for the main prize, helped boost our confidence and take away some of the nervous pressure I think we were all feeling toward The Nest.

Swooop!! Just took down The Nest (V15)! Last year Andy Raether and Kenny Barker took us to this gem and we brushed it up with Daniel Woods and Jimmy Webb but I was unable to try it with my shoulder injury. It's one of the best feelings coming back stronger and climbing something that you couldn't do because of an injury! I felt lucky to top it out today with the extra-humid conditions that forced me to eventually chance my beta. Good times in Red Rocks!! Time for the projects!!

A few days ago, Facundo Langbehn, of Santiago, Chile, sent The Nest (V15), in Red Rocks, Nevada, for its fifth ascent. First climbed by Daniel Woods in 2013, it was quickly repeated by Jimmy Webb, and later by Paul Robinson and Nalle Hukkataival, giving it a pedigree matched by few other boulders. With his send, Langbehn became the first Chilean to climb V15 and only the second South American after Felipe Camargo.
